Jamaica Market

Since its opening in 1990, the Jamaica Market has established itself as a well-loved fixture of downtown Jamaica. Located on Jamaica Avenue, in the heart of downtown, it has become not only a market – but a community meeting place where the neighborhood comes together in a relaxing and social environment.

Originally conceived as a farmers’ market, Jamaica Market has evolved over the years and today offers a wide variety of food and other goods to diners and shoppers alike. The market prides itself on serving the community by providing an eclectic array of culinary choices from salads and sandwiches to juices and ethnic foods from Japan, China, and the Caribbean to the community at affordable prices and in a convenient location.

The market has helped many creative and ambitious entrepreneurs start businesses that have found success in the market. Some have even expanded their businesses beyond.
